Born in Madrid, Spain, I received the Telecommunication Engineering degree from the Technical University of Madrid (UPM) and the M.Sc. (Dipl. Ing.) degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from the Darmstadt University of Technology (TUD), Germany, within the framework of the T.I.M.E. double degree exchange program (2006).
I wrote my master thesis at Deutsche Telekom / T-Systems (Darmstadt, Germany) on IMS-based fixed mobile convergence and mobility management and continued as a research intern until end of 2006.Since 2007, at Centro de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento (CPqD), Brazil, I am involved in R&D and consultant activities on 3G, IPTV, WiMAX, PSTN migration to NGN and IMS service delivery innovation .
My past and current experiences include following and participating in standardization activities at ETSI TISPAN, WiMAX Forum NWG, 3GPP, IETF (sipping, p2psip, dime, 16ng, netlmm).
I am currently working towards a Ph.D. degree at School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (FEEC), University of Campinas (Unicamp), Brazil.
